In the education of Genesis 6 Scholarship we walked through just how the Bible is our only true history book. We have stated on many occasions that you cannot study any subject, no matter what it is, without first studying the Bible. Whether it be language, science, mathematics, business or any other subject one must start with the Bible.
What we find is the God gave us seven keys of connection to him. You can find the details abiout these seven Keys in our fourth book of the God Is Government Series titled Keys of the Kingdom - your kingdom.
God made a command to Abraham in Genesis 17:1 “1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect. 2 And I will make my covenant between me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly. 3 And Abram fell on his face: and God talked with him, saying, 4 As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations. 5 Neither shall thy name any more be called Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for a father of many nations have I made thee.”
What we find is that we are to be perfect in God’s eyes and in doing so through obendience we receive God’s benefit package to use in living our daily lives. So, the question is how to we perfect ourselves?
It is through obedience to God. This means you have to study to show yourself approved. 2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
Well this gets us back to the study.
God tells us that in Ecclesiastics 1:9 “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”
So, therefore, we must know that there is nothing new for us to learn. We are to learn history and then we can understand today. Future proves past.
Dictionary.co defines science as the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation, experimentation, and the testing of theories against the evidence obtained.
Wikipedia defines science as a rigorous, systematic endeavor that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the world.
So, science is nothing more than to study history to show yourself approved. It is the study of history that wee have been doing since we started our educational programs. It is not the crafting of new substances in a research lab. Everything that exists today has existed before. Science is the study of what has to understand what is.
Science leads then to knowledge.
Dictionary.com defines knowledge as a set of facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject.
Wikipedia defines knowledge as a form of awareness or familiarity. It is often understood as awareness of facts or as practical skills, and may also mean familiarity with objects or situations.
Knowledge is what we store in our brain file cabinet to latter recall into consciousness when we need to look at history to understand the present. Think about that. What we do, what we focus on, what we consider as learning is nothing more than understanding our past history.
Knowledge leads to wisdom.
Dictionary.com defines wisdom as the soundness of an action or decision with regard to the application of experience, knowledge, and good judgment.
Wikipedia defines wisdom as the ability to discern inner qualities and relationships : insight.
What does God say about wisdom? Here are only a few passages of scripture.
Proverbs 3:13-18 “13 Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, and the one who gets understanding, 14 for the gain from her is better than gain from silver and her profit better than gold. 15 She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. 16 Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. 17 Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. 18 She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called blessed.”
James 1:5 ESV ”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
James 3:17 ESV “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.“
Proverbs 1:7 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.”
Proverbs 19:20 ESV “Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future.”
Ephesians 5:15-17 ESV “15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.”
So, to perfect ourselves is to obtain the wisdom of God. This begins with your application of study.
We will begin this new study of Genesis 6 Advance Scholarship through study. We will begin slow and build over time as we get legs underneath us as to the history leading up to and what happened afterwards to give us an advanced understanding of our history through the Bible.
Please come join us on this - what will be a fabulous journey of science, knowledge and understanding the wisdom of God.
