My Journey
When God told me to education the evangelical of His Truth I told Him that it would be a difficult task because everything in history is woven together. So where does one even start. And as a Father should say He told me to start from the beginning.
So, I felt that our beginning should be at the point I decided I needed to learn the truth. This was a trial-and-error activity. I was 40 years old going through my second divorce, was very angry with everything, and I absolutely needed to figure life out if I wanted to achieve my goals of being successful.
Now for years, I have been traveling through my work internationally. I was also a studier of history and in those travels I took the time to learn as much about the local religion and culture where I traveled. I even lived for a stint in 13 of those countries. So, I was able to really dig into their history. Why I did this did not become evident to me until after I was 40 years old standing in the hallway looking out over the waters and asking God to help me find my way.
I had no idea what would be in store for me along this journey. And I really have not allowed that journey to end. Why? Because once I started and began to understand the truth I found that my studying of the truth through the mind of God’s consciousness (His Word) the revelation about truth never quits. I found that when I began to study one subject and obtain the basic understanding that God used that understanding to not only complete that teaching but opened a different aspect of the subject matter I was studying or took me down a completely different rabbit hole.
So, where did I begin? Like I said God said start at the beginning. I begin with laying out how I begin learning in the first place. I began to read. However, I just didn’t start with Genesis 1:1 what I did, through the direction of God, was to begin reading about language. Just like we all did when we began first grade, we learned to read, and we learned about the language we were reading. Teachers taught us about nouns, pronouns, verbs, adverbs, sentence structure and so on.
Why was this so critical? Number one I didn’t speak Hebrew so I could not read the original cannon. Number two, since the original cannon was translated into English for us in 325 A D at the Nicene Council and at various other points over time, I wanted to understand just how that translation was done if I were to understand the history scriptures to be true. So, I did what we all did. I began learning language all over again.
I purchased the Hebrew Bible and a King James version of the Bible. Because I didn’t speak Hebrew and having enough trouble with the English language I needed a translator from Hebrew to English. So, I purchased what is called Ancient Hebrew Lexicon of the Bible. This Lexicon would allow me to look up both Hebrew terms and understanding the English meaning of the words used in that scripture and it also allowed me to take an English word and see what it meant in Hebrew within a particular scripture. I thought I was set. But like Sherlock Holmes there was more needed to solve this mystery.
What I learned just in my setup to begin study of language was that the Bible is written not only in Hebrew (Old Testament) but Greek (New Testament), and since the New Testament is broken down into two sections; the gospels and the doctrine of Christ, if I wanted to get an understanding of the New Testament not only did I have to have a Ancient Greek Lexicon of the Bible but I needed to figure out how to get the meanings of the words from Hebrew to Greek for the Old Testament.
You may ask why that is. Well, the Old Testament provides in the first five books of the Bible the Law. We call this the Torah. When you read the first five books in the New Testament you will find that it is the fulfillment of the law from the Old Testament. So, the first five books of the Old Testament, the Torah, are the first five books of the New Testament unrevealed. And the first five books of the New Testament, the New Testament Torah, are the Torah revealed. Going further into the Bible the remaining books of the Old Testament are major and minor prophetic books and the remaining books of the New Testament, the books written by the Apostles, are Christ Doctrine taken from the prophetic books of the Old Testament. Therefore, to truly study the Bible and gain its truth you need to have Hebrew and Greek Lexicons for translation of words. Oh, but what I found it gets worse. Remember the story of the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11, The Hebrew language of God was taken by God and scrambled into the languages of the world today. So, in studying the bible because of the semantics lucifer used in creating today’s languages I had to consider that the 9,909 languages today with 14,000 dialects and 33,500 ancients must be also reviewed to determine if an English word used in an English translation came directly from Hebrew or Greek or did it come from a word in a different language that was translated into English.
So, understanding that my study of language to begin with was not without challenges is an understatement. When I figured all this out I determined that the reason people lean on other people to tell the truth about scripture was due to all this mess. But I had to listen to the word of God in this journey. In 2 Timothy 2:15 it says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” So, I knew if I wanted to learn the truth I had to do it myself.
With tools now gathered in hand I thought I was ready to begin my journey. But not so fast Sherlock!
When I began in the Hebrew Bible I found that the original cannot only was it a run-on sentence but there were no spaces between words. In fact, what I was taught by a Rabbi was that the Bible was written in a code and was only interpreted by those that God showed the vision of the code. Well then that is great I thought. The Rabbi showed me not only the code but gave me a tip on a Jewish Bible that would help me in my quest.
So, I go back to the verse in Timothy. To study the Bible and showing yourself approved unto God meant you had to really study. This is not a book to read like Marry Poppins, or any other book. This is a book to understand you must study. Well, I have been doing that for some 30 years now.
What I have found is the amazing truth of our history and the roadmap of correcting the corruption in it. I hope you enjoyed my laying out this journey for you to know that as the articles come forth they will give you not only the scripture references but the meaning of those scripture along with current or historical writings that you may now understand the truth about the Bible and your history.
