Ancient Catastrophes

There have been a series of catastrophes on the planet Earth. We find Peleg mentioned in the genealogy of Genesis 11. Peleg was born 101 years after the Flood, and during his lifetime, “the earth was divided.” About 1877 B.C. Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed by raining fire and brimstone. The Exodus plagues hit Egypt in 1447 B.C. and in about 1404 B.C. Joshua told the Sun and Moon to stand still, and they did. Both Amos and Zechariah tell us that an earthquake shook the land during the days of Uzziah, King of Judea.
