Bosons are a different breed of elementary particle altogether. Bosons have a full integer spin (that is, a spin of 1, with no up or down), and they don’t obey the same rules that are forced on fermions. They follow what are called Bose-Einstein statistics, and they can behave strangely, especially at low temperatures. An unlimited number of bosons can occupy the same quantum state. In other words, if they were cars, they would be able to drive right through each other. In fact, they would be able to pile up in the same spot on the highway without an issue.
